Firebird - Infernal Dance of Kashcheys

Kashcheys is clearly an evil character. The entire piece has a sinister feel. The piece is loud and notes are attacked heavily. The music is fast paced and full of huge crescendos and decrescendos. The instrumentation sometimes alternates between high-pitched, lighter (flutes, clarinets, bells) and trumpets and bass instruments bass instruments (tubas, trombones) , sometimes in a call and response style. In the end, the music fades, representing Kashcheys growing tired and ending the dance.
